Like our regular spring feeder, the weighted version is great to use with a running rig in still water. (Especially effective if the bite is light.) As an alternative, a bit of silicon tubing can be used to create a safe bolt rig. The feeder's extra weight will help to set the hook, but it will easily slide free in the event of a snag or broken line.
